Hamilton, Bermuda — 13 November 2025 — Bermuda’s leading economic development agencies — the Bermuda Business Development Agency (BDA), the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation (BEDC), the Urban Development Authority (UDA), and the Economic Development Department (EDD) — have joined forces to welcome guests at the 2025 Butterfield Bermuda Championship, demonstrating a coordinated approach to attracting investment, supporting local enterprise, and advancing community development.
The partnership builds on their Invest in Bermuda initiative, reflecting the agencies’ commitment to presenting a unified front to investors and stakeholders. During the four-day tournament (13–16 November) the agencies will host local and international industry partners to showcase real opportunities across investment, entrepeneurship and development. This collaboration provides a platform to demonstrate the collective work under way to strengthen Bermuda’s economy — from attracting new investment to supporting local business growth and enabling development in key sectors.
This unified approach reflects the agencies’ shared vision: to strengthen Bermuda’s economy through strategic collaboration, create opportunity across sectors, and enhance Bermuda’s global competitiveness as a premier jurisdiction for business. Together, the agencies are better positioned to deliver measurable, long-term impact for Bermuda.
Kendaree Burgess, Managing Director of the Bermuda Business Development Agency, said “Collaboration is essential to Bermuda’s long-term success. When we align our efforts across investment promotion, business development, and community growth, we attract better opportunities and deliver on our shared vision — a vibrant, resilient economy that benefits all the people of Bermuda.”
Erica Smith, Executive Director of the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation, added: “The partnership between Bermuda’s economic development agencies demonstrates our collective commitment to supporting businesses at every level — from local entrepreneurs to global investors. Together, we are building pathways that strengthen our economy and create lasting impact.”
The partnership reflects a cohesive, forward-looking approach to economic development, built on shared purpose, practical collaboration, and fosters progress across industries and communities.
