Amazon’s Global Head of Corporate Risk to Speak at 2024 Bermuda Risk Summit

Hamilton, Bermuda, February 8, 2024: Soraya Wright, Global Head of Corporate Risk & Claims at Amazon, will close the second day of the 2024 Bermuda Risk Summit, presented by the Bermuda Business Development Agency (BDA), in partnership with the Association of Bermuda Insurers and Reinsurers (ABIR) and EY.

Ms. Wright has over 30 years of experience managing complex risks of global companies and currently serves as Global Head of Corporate Risk & Claims at tech giant, Amazon, and also serves as a California State Commissioner on the Fraud Assessment Committee. Previously, Wright served as a Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at RIMS, the risk management society and has worked for Target Corporation and The Clorox Company (for whom she created their captive insurance subsidiary). Ms. Wright has also served on the Client Advisory Board of several notable insurance firms such as FM Global and Willis Towers Watson, and is a frequent speaker on a broad range of risk management topics.

Ms. Wright’s keynote conversation will be with Patrick Tannock, CEO of AXA XL Insurance in Bermuda/ Chair, Association of Bermuda International Companies (ABIC).
