SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Are you a creative, detail-oriented communicator with a passion for marketing and stakeholder engagement? The Bermuda Business Development Agency (BDA) is seeking a driven and adaptable Facilitator to support our marketing, communications, events, and stakeholder relations functions.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience across digital content, brand promotion, and event execution—while also playing a key role in supporting business development efforts with local industry stakeholders.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with maintaining and updating website content to ensure it remains accurate and up to date.
  • Assist in the day-to-day management of digital tools and applications that support the marketing team’s workflows, including email platforms, scheduling tools, and event apps.
  • Assist in scheduling and posting content across social media platforms, ensuring timely and engaging communication.
  • Provide coordination support for events, including logistics, supplier communication, and on-site setup.
  • Support basic graphic design needs such as resizing images and creating simple marketing materials using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Maintain an organised inventory of promotional items and printed collateral; manage storage, tracking, and restocking as needed.
  • Provide general administrative and logistical support across marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relations with external stakeholders.
  • Participate in Industry Working Groups, aimed at understanding the needs of stakeholders and wider business climate in Bermuda.
  • Ensure Salesforce is accurate and up to date for all stakeholder relations.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Degree or diploma in marketing, communications, business, or a related field preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a marketing, communications, or events-related role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Familiarity with digital tools (e.g. social media platforms, email marketing tools, Salesforce) and basic design platforms (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Confident working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced setting.
