SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Are you a proactive, detail-oriented professional looking to build experience in business development and provide critical administrative support? The Bermuda Business Development Agency is seeking a Facilitator to assist the business development team with special projects, research, market engagement, and day-to-day administrative tasks.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1 to 3 years’ experience in business development support, sales support, or client-facing roles to contribute to key initiatives, support market outreach, and gain exposure to Bermuda’s international business sectors.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with maintaining and updating business development activities in Salesforce to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Participate in business development client meetings, assisting with pre-meeting preparation and post-meeting follow-up.
- Assist in the development of target company lists in priority markets and in creating bespoke propositions for potential new clients.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the BDA’s priority industry pillars and service offerings.
- Support the planning and coordination of overseas business development engagements.
- Leverage digital tools such as LinkedIn to support business development activities.
- Support the evaluation of business development activities, events and opportunities on island and overseas
- Provide general administrative and logistical support for international business development engagement.
- Monitor business development KPIs and week-to-week performance.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in business development support, sales support, or a related client-facing or business environment.
- Familiarity with Salesforce is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn for business development and research purposes is an asset.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Confident working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced setting.
