Sean Moran – Interim CEO
Sean is Interim CEO at the BDA, overseeing all the agency’s industry initiatives and stakeholder relationships. Previously, he was the BDA’s Head of Business Development, and also was responsible for both the asset management and trust & private client sectors. Sean has more than 20 years of financial services experience, including three years as vice president of Citi Hedge Fund Services for Citigroup, New York. Prior to Citi, Sean held senior roles with Butterfield Fulcrum Group as director of business development, and with HSBC Alternative Fund Services as client relationship manager in New York and Hong Kong.
Heather Bean – Head of Operations
Heather oversees day-to-day operations and financial and facilities management at BDA, and also oversees human resources and member services. She brings a strong background in human resources management, including payroll, benefits and strategic retention, and has many years of experience in strategic planning, budgeting, audit preparation, board reporting, shareholder liaison, financial and regulatory reporting and compliance. Previously, she spent 14 years at Stockton Re, latterly as vice president in charge of managing the company’s wind-down procedures.
sophie burt – Conferences & Events Manager
A graduate of the University of East London (UEL) Business School, UK, Sophie earned a degree in Events Management and completed an internship at a local financial institution where she was actively involved in marketing, public relations, events and product management. Sophie coordinates BDA events and participation at conferences, meetings and receptions, and provides a range of administrative support.
Nicole Conrad Morrison – Head of Conferences & Events
Nicole is an accomplished advertising, marketing and multi-media professional with over 18 years’ international experience in producing events from live television broadcasts, corporate events to national advertising campaigns. Nicole oversees all conferences and events for the BDA, raising the profile of each industry sector and ensuring creative input, as well as top-quality representation at every event.
Yvonne Decosta – marketing manager
Yvonne focuses on creating greater equity and visibility for the BDA brand and develops web, video, email, collateral and promotional materials for all BDA initiatives. With more than a decade of experience in the marketing industry, specifically in financial, technology and research fields, she is also responsible for maintaining and analysing the BDA’s websites and email marketing database, running webinars, strategising on marketing campaigns, and ensuring all stakeholder communication and BDA channels are dynamically reaching our target audiences.
stephanie dickinson – Business Development Manager
Stephanie serves as Business Development Manager for the BDA’s High Net Worth Services and Asset Management sectors, including trust and private client business, and shared responsibility for insurance-linked securities (ILS). Stephanie has more than 20 years of experience in business development, including over a decade in the financial industry in the United States and Bermuda. Most recently, she was business development and client relationship manager in the Corporate Banking Department of Butterfield Bank. Stephanie also held senior roles in corporate and retail banking with Bank of America and Wells Fargo in the US.

marsha foley – Financial Controller
Marsha has been with the BDA and its predecessor organisations for seven years and provides vital continuity. As a financial accountant, her efficiency, record-keeping and systematic approach to handling the organisation’s payroll, benefits and banking are invaluable. Marsha ensures our internal controls and compliance standards are met in accordance with our statutory requirements.
Rosemary Jones – Head of Communications & Marketing
Rosemary oversees all jurisdictional advocacy, public and media relations, speeches and thought-leadership, web, video and social media, collateral, and other communications and marketing at the BDA. She also assists corporate stakeholders with national messaging needs, and manages the agency’s BDA Abroad stakeholders outreach programme via LinkedIn. A former newspaper, magazine and broadcast journalist, she previously worked in media organisations in Toronto and Bermuda, and has her own Bermuda-based media company that produces publications and exhibits.
Lynesha Lightbourne – Senior Business Development Coordinator
Lynesha supports Business Development Managers with a focus on High-Net-Worth and Concierge services. She joined the BDA in 2016 with experience in the trust and private-client sector. Previously, she spent seven years at Bermuda Trust Company, a subsidiary of HSBC Bermuda, and later served as a senior trust officer at Butterfield Trust Bermuda before joining Anchor Corporate Solutions as a corporate services manager. She is a Board member of the Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA) and a qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP), and serves as Director of the STEP Bermuda branch.
Caitlyne Lindo – Business Development Coordinator
Caitlyne supports BDA Business Development Managers, with an emphasis on Risk Solutions and Asset Management pillars. Her responsibilities include working with industry focus groups to help identify growth areas and opportunities, enhance product development, and generate new business. Previously, she had seven years’ work experience at international and local insurance companies, including Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada and BF&M Insurance.

Jereme Ramsay – Interim Head of Business Development
Jereme serves as Interim Head of Business Development at the BDA, responsible for supervising the agency’s team of business development managers and coordinators. He is also responsible for our Risk Solutions pillar and works with reinsurance, insurance, captives, and insurance-linked securities sectors. His prior experience spans financial services in both asset management and retail banking sectors. He previously worked at HSBC, where he oversaw strategic planning and marketing governance for retail and wealth management divisions, and was also e-sales manager. He is a Chartered Marketer and Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Kevin Richards – Concierge & Business Development Manager
Kevin Richards is Business Development Manager for Economic Diversification, focused on Bermuda’s shipping, aircraft and technology sectors. He also manages the BDA’s Concierge service, connecting prospective business with experts in Bermuda to form new ventures. Kevin has more than nine years of financial services’ experience, latterly as a strategic marketing manager for GE Canada in Toronto. Previously, he worked with GE Capital International in London, and for insurer ACE Group in London and Bermuda. He is a Board member of the Bermuda Shipping & Maritime Authority (BSMA).
Kyle Rogers – Senior Business Development Coordinator
Kyle supports the BDA’s business development teams, focusing on strategy, analytics and special projects. His responsibilities include the customer relationship management system, leads and opportunity management, and organisation of strategies and processes. Kyle joined the BDA in 2018 with experience in banking, specifically operations, sales and product management in the retail, trust and private client sectors. Previously, he spent 10 years at HSBC in retail and operations. Kyle also had experience at Clarien Bank in private client and trust business, and at Butterfield Bank managing an operations team.

Tuere Smith – Administrative Assistant
Tuere joined the BDA in 2016 and is responsible for covering the agency’s front-office reception as well as providing administration and accounting support. Her duties include handling BDA inquiries and assisting all BDA team members with various assignments, including support for business development, database maintenance and travel/events. Tuere previously worked as a claims analyst for XL Insurance and a claims adjustor for Argus Insurance.
